How to Integrate Group Leads With EngageBay

Before Getting Started

To follow this guide, make sure you’ve completed these prerequisites:

  1. Installed Group Leads and set up the Google Sheet for your Facebook group.
  2. Set up three questions that users will answer when joining your Facebook group.

Now, you’re ready to integrate Group Leads with EngageBay. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Get Your EngageBay API Key

  1. Log in to your EngageBay account.
  2. Click on the Account Profile Icon and select Account Settings.

  3. Navigate to API & Tracking Code.
    • Your REST API key will be displayed.
    • Copy the REST API key and save it in a local text editor for later use.

Step 2: Get Your EngageBay List ID

  1. Hover over the Contacts option in the top navigation bar and select List from the dropdown menu.

  2. Click the Create List button.
  3. Enter a name for your list and click the Save button.

  4. Copy the List ID:
    • The List ID is the 16-digit number displayed next to "list" in your browser’s address bar. Copy this number for later use.

Step 3: Configure Group Leads with EngageBay

  1. Open the Group Leads extension in your browser.
  2. From the Autoresponder list, turn ON the "Enable Autoresponder" switch and select EngageBay.

  3. Paste the REST API key (saved in your text editor) into the API field.
  4. Enter a Tag Name to be automatically assigned to added contacts.
    • You can add multiple tags by separating them with commas (e.g., Tag1,Tag2).
  5. Paste the List ID (from Step 2) into the List ID field.

  6. Click the Update button.

Final Step: Confirmation

Congratulations! You’ve successfully configured EngageBay with your Group Leads account. All new group members will now be added to EngageBay automatically.
