How to Connect Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) to GroupLeads

Connecting your Brevo account to GroupLeads allows you to automatically sync Facebook Group member details, email addresses, and question responses into your Brevo contact lists.

Follow the step-by-step guide below to create a contact list in Brevo, generate an API Key, and connect Brevo using the CRM tab in the GroupLeads Chrome Extension.

Prerequisites

• An active Brevo (Sendinblue) account.
• GroupLeads Chrome Extension installed and connected to a Google Sheet.
• Facebook Group membership questions configured.

Step 1: Create a List in Brevo and Copy Your List ID

1. Log in to your Brevo dashboard.
2. In the left-hand navigation sidebar, click CRM, then select Lists.
3. On the Lists page, click the + Create a list button in the top-right corner.
   

   

4. In the Create a list pop-up modal, enter a descriptive name in the Name of the list field (e.g., Groupleads).
5. Select your desired folder from the Folder dropdown menu (e.g., marketing_automation).
6. Click Create list.

   

7. Once created, you will be redirected to the list overview page. Look at your browser address bar (URL). The List ID is the numerical value at the end of the URL (e.g., in app.brevo.com/contact/list-listing/id/5, the List ID is 5).
8. Copy this List ID to a notepad file for later use.
   

   

Step 2: Generate an API Key in Brevo

1. In your Brevo dashboard, click the settings gear icon (⚙) in the top-right corner of the navigation bar.
2. In the left-hand Settings menu, under Organization settings, click SMTP & API.
3. On the main page, select the API keys & MCP tab.
4. Click the + Generate API key button in the top-right corner.
   

   

5. In the Generate new API Key pop-up modal, enter a name for your key in the Key name field (e.g., Facebook Group).
6. Click Generate.
   

   

7. Your generated API Key will be displayed. Click the Copy icon next to the API key string to copy it, then click OK. Save this key into your notepad file alongside your List ID.

Step 3: Open GroupLeads and Access the CRM Tab

Now switch to your browser extension to complete the integration:

1. Open Google Chrome and launch the GroupLeads Chrome Extension.
2. Click the gear / settings icon (⚙) next to your target Facebook Group name.
3. Click the CRM tab in the top navigation bar (located between Setup and Auto Responder).
4. Toggle ON the Enable CRM switch to activate CRM integration and automation.

Step 4: Configure Brevo Credentials and Verify

1. Under CRM Integration, select Brevo from the dropdown list.
2. Toggle ON Send Questions/Answers to Brevo (if you want member Q&A responses saved).
3. Enter your saved credentials into the respective input fields:
   • API key *: Paste your Brevo API key generated in Step 2 (e.g., xkeysib-416905b3...).
   • List ID *: Paste the numerical List ID retrieved in Step 1 (e.g., 5).
4. Click Verify & Update (or Update) to validate your credentials and save the connection.
5. Once saved, a green Connected status badge and success notification will appear.

Step 5: Approve Members and Sync Data

1. Go to your Member Requests page on Facebook.
2. Approve new members using the GroupLeads red button (or Approve All).
3. The new members' data will be automatically saved to your Google Sheet and synced directly to your Brevo contact list.

You're all set! Your GroupLeads extension is now connected to Brevo. From this point on, any new contacts approved in your Facebook Group will be automatically added to your Brevo list.
