​How to Integrate Group Leads with Kit (formerly ConvertKit)

Prerequisites

Before starting, make sure you have:

  1. Installed the Group Leads Chrome extension and set up the Google Sheet for your group.
  2. Configured the three questions users will answer when joining your Facebook group.

Step 1: Set Up a Tag in Kit

  1. Log in to your Kit account.
  2. Click on the Grow menu from the top navigation bar and select Subscribers from the dropdown.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and go to the Tag section.
  4. Click the Create a Tag button.

  5. Enter a tag name, copy it to a notepad, and click Save.

Step 2: Get Your API Credentials

  1. Click on your avatar at the top-right corner of the Kit screen and select Settings.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Developer menu in the right sidebar.

  3. Click the Copy button next to the API Key and API Secret, then save them in a notepad.

Step 3: Configure Group Leads

  1. Click the Group Leads icon in your extension tray.
  2. Click on the Gear icon.
  3. Navigate to the Autoresponder tab and choose Kit Autoresponder.
  4. Turn ON the autoresponder  and click on Credentials.

  5. Copy your API credentials from the notepad and paste them into the appropriate fields.

  6. Click the Update button. 
  7. You will see a popup confirming that you settings has been verified and updated.
  8. click the continue button and finally click the update button on the autoresponder screen to save your setting

Step 4: Approve Members and Sync Data

  1. Go to your Member Requests page on Facebook.
  2. Approve new members using the Group Leads red button.
  3. The new members' data will be added to your Google Sheet and synced with Kit CRM automatically.

That’s it! Your Group Leads extension is now integrated with Kit, and new group members will be added seamlessly. 🚀
