How to Integrate Group Leads with GoHighLevel V2.0

Connecting your GoHighLevel (GHL) account to GroupLeads allows you to automatically push Facebook Group membership answers, email leads, and contact data directly into your GHL workflows and CRM pipelines.

Follow the step-by-step guide below to generate your GHL API credentials and connect them using the CRM tab in the GroupLeads Chrome Extension.

Prerequisites

• An active GoHighLevel (GHL) sub-account dashboard.
• Admin access to your GroupLeads Chrome Extension.

Step 1: Log In to Your GoHighLevel Dashboard

1. Sign in to your GoHighLevel (GHL) account.
2. Select the specific sub-account location where you want to route your Facebook Group leads.

Step 2: Find and Copy Your Location ID

1. Click Settings in the bottom-left sidebar menu.
2. Under Settings, click Business Profile.
3. Locate the Location ID field under your business details.
4. Copy the Location ID and paste it into a temporary text file or notepad.

Step 3: Create a Private Integration (API Key) & Set Scopes

To connect GroupLeads securely via GHL v2 API, generate a Private Integration key:

1. In GHL Settings, scroll down the left menu and click Private Integrations.
2. Click Create New Integration.
3. Enter a Private App Name (e.g., GroupLeads Integration) and a short description, then click Next.
4. On the Scopes page, select the following required permissions:
   • Edit Contacts: contacts.write
   • View Contacts: contacts.readonly
   • View Locations: locations.readonly
   • Edit Location Tasks: locations/tasks.write
   • View Tags: locations/tags.readonly
   • Edit Tags: locations/tags.write
5. Click Create to generate the key.
6. Copy the generated API Key (Bearer Token) and save it in your notepad.

Step 4: Create a Tag in GoHighLevel

1. In GHL Settings, click Tags from the left sidebar.
2. Click New Tag.
3. Enter your desired Tag Name (e.g., Facebook Group Lead), then click Create Tag.
4. Copy the exact tag name string and paste it into your notepad. (Ensure the spelling, spacing, and capitalization match exactly).

Step 5: Open GroupLeads and Access the CRM Tab

Now switch to your browser extension to complete the connection:

1. Open Google Chrome and launch the GroupLeads Chrome Extension.
2. Click the gear / settings icon (⚙) next to your Facebook Group name.
3. Click the CRM tab in the top navigation bar (located between Setup and Auto Responder).
4. Toggle ON the Enable CRM switch to activate CRM integration and automation.

Step 6: Configure GoHighLevel v2 Credentials and Verify

1. Under CRM Integration, select GoHighLevel v2 from the dropdown list.
2. Enter your saved credentials into the respective input fields:
   • API Token / Key: Paste your GHL Private Integration API Key.
   • Location ID: Paste your GHL Location ID.
   • Tag Name: Paste your exact GHL Tag Name.
3. Click Verify & Update to validate your credentials and save the connection.

✅  You're all set! Your GoHighLevel account is now connected to GroupLeads. Every approved group member will automatically be created as a contact, tagged, and enrolled in your GHL autoresponder workflows.
