How to Connect Group Leads with Airtable

This guide walks you through how to integrate Group Leads with Airtable so you can automatically sync Facebook group member data directly into your Airtable CRM.

Before You Begin

Make sure you’ve already:

  • Installed the Group Leads Chrome extension
  • Connected your Facebook group to a Google Sheet
  • Set up your Facebook group membership questions, including one that asks for the email address

Step 1: Set Up a Sales CRM Template in Airtable

  1. Go to your Airtable dashboard

  6. Close the popup and switch to the Contacts table
  7. Copy the name of the Contacts table and paste it into a notepad—you’ll need it later

  8. Add two new fields: First Name and Last Name. This helps ensure Group Leads data maps correctly

  9. (Optional) Hide any extra fields you don’t plan to use

Step 2: Create a Personal Access Token in Airtable

  1. Click your profile icon and select Account

  2. Scroll down to the API section and click Go to Developer hub

  7. Click Create token

  8. Copy the token (starts with pat...) and paste it in a notepad—you will only see it once
  9. Click Done

Step 3: Get Your Base ID

  1. Go back to the Airtable dashboard by clicking the ← icon
  2. Click into your workspace

  3. From the browser’s address bar, copy your Base ID
    • If your URL is:https://airtable.com/appaH2HZnwevW0Hch/tblWPvL8NxFMzpyHJ/viwEaHYv903LaUdYL?blocks=hide Then your Base ID is: appaH2HZnwevW0Hch

  1. Open the Group Leads extension in Chrome
  2. Go to your group’s settings
  3. Click the Autoresponder tab
  4. Select Airtable as your autoresponder
  5. Click Credentials

  6. Open your notepad and copy:
    • The Personal Access Token
    • The Base ID
    • The Table name (from Step 1)
