How to Integrate Group Leads With Podio

Before getting started  I assume you’ve done two things:

  • You’ve installed Group Leads and also set up the google sheet for the group you are working on.
  • You’ve set up the three questions users would answer while joining your Facebook group.

The last step you need to take is to integrate Group Leads with Podio. Please, follow these steps:

1) Log into your Podio and then click on Account Settings.

2)  Next, click on the API keys menu and In the 'API Key Generator' section, enter the following details:

- Application name: Provide a name for your Application

- Full domain: Enter the full domain (api.groupleads.net).

For reference please see the screenshot below:

 click on the Generate API Key button to create a new API key.

Once you've done that, it will display the details of your new API key. Now copy and paste the client Id and client secret key in your notepad for later use.

Step 3: Create a Project App in Podio 

To create a project app in Podio, follow these steps: 

1. Navigate to the workspace where you want to create the app. 

2. Click on 'Add app' and select 'Create new app'.

3.After that a pop up will open then click Create your own app

Fill up app details here and click on create app

4. In your next screen you will see a default field with name title 

Click on title field setting icon  check reference shared in screenshot below 

5. mark (Hidden if empty) option checked and click on "Done" button. 

6. Now click on the setting icon of App created

After that it will open a pop up with options

Click on Developer option and copy App id and paste in your notepad app

 7) Now that you’ve gotten the required details. Let’s input it into Group Leads and verify the integration.

Open the GroupLeads extension, go to your group settings, click on the Autoresponder tab and turn on the "Enable autoresponder" switch.

8) Then choose the autoresponder you want to integrate, in this case, Podio. Now click on credentials.

9) Open the NotePad where you’ve inputted the collected details. Then, place them as appropriate in the Group Leads dialog box and click on "Connect App" button.

10) You will be directed to a page to grant GroupLeads access to your Podio account. Click the "Grant Access" button.

11) You will be redirected to a page confirming that your Autoresponder has been added successfully.

Congratulations.
