How to Integrate Group Leads with Systeme.io

Connecting your Systeme.io account to GroupLeads allows you to automatically add Facebook Group members as contacts in Systeme.io, sync email addresses and answers, and assign custom tags using your numerical Tag ID.

Follow the step-by-step guide below to generate a Public API Key in Systeme.io, locate your numerical Tag ID, and connect them using the CRM tab in the GroupLeads Chrome Extension.

Prerequisites

• An active Systeme.io account.
• GroupLeads Chrome Extension installed and connected to a Google Sheet.
• Facebook Group membership questions configured.

Step 1: Generate a Public API Key in Systeme.io

1. Log in to your Systeme.io Dashboard.
2. Hover over your profile picture / avatar icon in the top-right corner and click Settings.
   

   

1. In the left-hand Settings menu, click MCP & API keys (or API Keys).
2. Click the + Create button at the bottom of the API keys section.
   

   

1. In the popup modal, enter a descriptive name in the Name field (e.g., Facebook Group). Leave the Expiration date blank.
2. Click Save.
   

   

1. Under Public API keys, locate your newly created key token and click the Copy icon next to it. Save this key string into notepad for later.

Step 2: Get Your Tag ID in Systeme.io

1. Go to the top navigation bar, click CRM, and select Tags from the dropdown menu.
   

   

1. If you don't have a tag yet, click + Create to add a new tag (e.g., Groupleads).
2. In the popup modal, enter your tag name and click Save.
   

   

1. Click on your tag name in the list to view its details.
2. Look at your browser's address bar (URL). The Tag ID is the numerical value at the end of the URL (e.g., in systeme.io/dashboard/contacts?filter=...2160528..., the Tag ID is 2160528). (Note: If your Tag ID contains more than 7 digits, copy only the last 7 digits as the ID).
   
3. Save this numerical Tag ID into your notepad alongside your API Key.

Step 3: Open GroupLeads and Access the CRM Tab

Now switch to your browser extension to complete the connection:

1. Open Google Chrome and launch the GroupLeads Chrome Extension.
2. Click the gear / settings icon (⚙) next to your Facebook Group name.
3. Click the CRM tab in the top navigation bar (located between Setup and Auto Responder).
4. Toggle ON the Enable CRM switch to activate CRM integration and automation.

Step 4: Configure Systeme.io Credentials and Verify

1. Under CRM Integration, select Systeme.io from the dropdown list.
2. Toggle ON Send Questions/Answers to Systeme.io (if you want member Q&A responses saved).
3. Enter your saved credentials into the respective input fields:
   • API key *: Paste your Public API Key generated in Step 1 (e.g., lsjm8q2o9t371zu0z8yoz9jc...).
   • Tag ID: Paste the numerical Tag ID retrieved in Step 2 (e.g., 2160528).
4. Click Verify & Update (or Update) to validate your credentials and save the connection. Once saved, a green Connected badge will appear.

✅ You're all set! Your Systeme.io account is now fully connected to GroupLeads. Every approved Facebook Group member will automatically be added as a contact in Systeme.io and tagged with your specified Tag ID.
