How to Integrate Group Leads with Omnisend

Connecting your Omnisend account to GroupLeads allows you to automatically import Facebook Group member email addresses, membership question responses, and lead data directly into your Omnisend contact audience for automated email marketing sequences.

Follow the step-by-step guide below to generate an Omnisend API Key and connect it using the CRM tab in the GroupLeads Chrome Extension.

Prerequisites

• An active Omnisend account.
• GroupLeads Chrome Extension installed and connected to a Google Sheet.
• Facebook Group membership questions configured.

Step 1: Generate an API Key in Omnisend

1. Log in to your Omnisend Dashboard.
2. Click the Settings icon (⚙) in the bottom-left navigation sidebar.
3. In the settings menu, select API (or API Keys).
4. Click the + Create API key button in the top-right corner.

   

1. Enter a descriptive name for your API key (e.g., Groupleads Test).
2. Select permissions: set Manage all permissions to READ / WRITE (or enable full Contacts permissions).

   

3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Create API key
4. Copy your generated API Key string and save it in a temporary text file or notepad. (Note: You do not need to manually create tags inside Omnisend—tags configured in GroupLeads will automatically be created and assigned dynamically inside Omnisend).

Step 2: Open GroupLeads and Access the CRM Tab

Now switch to your browser extension to complete the connection:

1. Open Google Chrome and launch the GroupLeads Chrome Extension.
2. Click the gear / settings icon (⚙) next to your Facebook Group name.
3. Click the CRM tab in the top navigation bar (located between Setup and Auto Responder).
4. Toggle ON the Enable CRM switch to activate CRM integration and automation.

Step 3: Configure Omnisend Credentials and Verify

1. Under CRM Integration, select Omnisend from the dropdown list.
2. Toggle ON Send Questions/Answers to Omnisend (if you want member Q&A responses saved).
3. Enter your saved credentials into the respective input fields:
   • API Key *: Paste your Omnisend API Key.
   • Tag Name: Enter your desired tag name (e.g., Group Member). GroupLeads will automatically create and assign this tag to new contacts inside Omnisend.
4. Click Verify & Update (or Update) to validate your credentials and save the connection. Once saved, a green Connected badge will appear.

✅  You're all set! Your Omnisend account is now fully connected to GroupLeads. Every approved Facebook Group member will automatically be added as a contact in Omnisend, tagged, and enrolled in your email marketing workflows.
